May 2016

Stage 1 of Renovation Project
Expected Completion: Summer 2018

  • Replacement of McCormick roof
  • Seismic retrofitting for earthquake protection and necessary structural work
  • McCormick Gallery renovation
  • Creation of Contemporary Art Gallery above McCormick
  • Renovated art shipping/receiving and preparation/conservation facilities
  • Galleries affected/closed:  McCormick, Sterling Morton East and West, Von Romberg, Emmons, Asian Art galleries.
